7/14/2023 0 Comments Neptunes net hoursthere's no question that the best thing about Neptune's Net is easily its AMAZING location with ocean views. The idea of an oceanside seafood restaurant carries a certain nostalgia which is why I'm always tempted to go. that might be just what the doctor ordered. For some reason, despite not having visited Neptune's Net for years. But if it's crowded, busy and hot it's going to be terrible! So come in the winter I guess? But I'd come back for the chowder.Īs a native New Englander, whenever a beach day in Malibu ends, I find myself craving legit seafood. Good luck during summer.Overall you come here for FAMILY. Ordering system you have to order in two diff areas and listen for your number while also looking for a seat that everyone has poached early on with their families. The chowder was amazing!! The fried fish was just average.Service- fast and friendly. I preferred the crab, shrimp, clams, and cocktail. There is a fried side and a steamed/boiled side. Restrooms- porta potty only, bring sanitizer, hand wipes or something because you're going to be eating with your hands. The lot is one way in and out and kind of busy. Parking- We went on a weekday with plenty of parking on the street. Traffic home will be killer but it's beautiful and after eating you can go to the beach. Made the long but beautiful drive from LA. If you love The Fast and Furious movies then you have to come here eventually. The cool views add a star just for that! Will certainly be back when passing by or visiting this area! The placement of the restaurant and the ability to see a great sunset certainly elevates place and I would say I would eat here again just for the awesome views of the water and sunset and the casual dining environment. This is not a fancy place by any means, just a good casual dining place like a I mentioned after a day at the beach, a nice sunset causal dinner or if you are passing by and are hungry. The fries were good and the since the drink selection is huge, for a good raspberry lemonade. Just your ordinary fries shrimp and you can pour your own tarter sauce, ketchup or cocktail sauce. The have a great selection of canned drinks to chose from to go along with your meal that is served on cardboard little trays. The food was good nothing to write home about but good overall. We sat down just as the sun was setting and the ambiance is great casual place to grab a bite after a day at the beach or just for a nice meal at sunset. Visited this place as we were enjoying the beach beach and great looking scenery in the area driving down the 1 highway! This place is located right across the street from water so we decided to try it. IMO for how wide the roadway is there, I had a super easy time crossing the road on foot to stand on a dirt hill there and snap photos of the place and the beach below.Defintely would visit again. Outside under the roofing still, there are the smaller tables and also have roll down windows that Id say they use when theres inclement weather and stuff, towards the side of the building by the parking area there are picnic tables if you have a bigger group, and let me just say the views from there are just beautiful. Theres cool music playing on the stereo inside and outside the place so it makes it fun to be around there. There are tables if you want to dine indoors and stay away from the weather in case of rain. The place has restrooms outside in a separate room. The place is located on the Pacific Coast Highway 1, and its got on site parking but also a parking lot across the street if you want to catch a view of the ocean or eat in your car. You have an option of ordering to dine-in, or to-go. They have a liquor license so beer is available. When I arrived there, what a vibe. On to the food already right? So I ordered an Impossible burger with french fries, three fried fish tacos, a side of onion rings and those were like four inch rings and not some tiny joints, for my Mama grilled fish tacos and for my Grandma a fried chicken salad. The staff at the counter were all pleasant and nice to talk to placing my order and asking questions about the food items. Okay so on to the food right? Im an intermittent fasting person and was breaking my fast and visiting the place and California as an adult for the first time, so had to go all out on the food. I wanna say that we possibly sat in the same place that Paul Walker and Vin Diesel at in the scene from the Fast and Furious movie, :). The food was freshly made to order, the ambience of the place is just as I imagined in from seeing it in the Point Break and Fast and Furious movies.
